Who We Are
A Company Built Around the Song
We are a Christian music company focused on building a world-class catalog of songs while partnering with artists to bring those songs to life.
Unshakeable Music grew from a shared belief that meaningful songs deserve more than a moment of inspiration. They deserve the time, collaboration, musicianship, and production needed to reach their full potential.
Bringing together different life experiences and complementary creative strengths, Steve Nichols, Dexter Mathis, and Chris Blackwell approach each song with respect for both its message and the artist who will ultimately carry it. From the first lyric or melody through arrangement, production, and final recording, the work remains centered on serving the song.
Offices in Atlanta and Shreveport.
The Work Behind the Song
From the First Idea
to the Finished Song
A song may begin with a lyric, a melody, a personal testimony, or a single phrase that refuses to let go. What follows is not a rigid formula, but a collaborative process of listening, questioning, refining, and allowing the strongest version of the song to emerge.
Lyrics, melody, structure, arrangement, musicianship, and production are developed together, always with respect for the message at the heart of the work. The goal is not simply to complete a recording. It is to shape a song that feels honest, fully realized, and ready for the artist who will bring it to life.
Write with honesty. Shape with intention. Serve the song.
The Stories Behind the Songs
Our songs are born from lived experience and personal testimony. Each writer brings stories of faith, struggle, and redemption that shape the heart of our lyrics.
The People Behind the Songs
Meet the Writers
Each writer brings a distinct history, creative instinct, and perspective to the work. Together, those differences create a collaborative process shaped by experience, musicianship, honesty, and a shared sense of purpose.

Steve Nichols
Steve was born and raised in the Shreveport, Louisiana area, and he also spent some of his early years in and around Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Although his childhood was sometimes troubled, he rose from those ashes and he has used his story to help countless others through public speaking and mentorship. His adversities shaped him into the most cheerfully giving soul, and anyone who knows him would agree with that sentiment.

Steve gave his life to the Lord at age 37, and he has lived his life since then with the ethics of hard work and honesty. His favorite Biblical section is found in the book of Matthew, in The Sermon on the Mount. He lives by the principles Jesus taught there.

Building the Collection
A Catalog Taking Shape
The Unshakeable Music catalog is taking shape as a growing body of original work, with each song developed to preserve its own identity, message, and creative authenticity. The focus is on building a collection with depth and range, where thoughtful refinement strengthens the song without losing what made it distinctive in the first place. The Unshakeable Music catalog is taking shape as a growing body of original work, with each song developed to preserve its own identity, message, and creative authenticity. As the catalog grows, so does its potential to connect with the right artists and audiences. Each song adds something different to the collection, creating a body of work designed to resonate today while carrying lasting value into what comes next.As the catalog grows, so does its potential to connect with the right artists and audiences.
